Tatum and George now account for 57% of the cap sheet
$112.6 million of Boston's $198.7 million payroll belongs to two players.
Two contracts define the Celtics' 2026-27 payroll. Jayson Tatum is paid $58,456,566 and Paul George $54,126,380, a combined $112,582,946, or about 57% of the team's $198,722,406 in salary.
The next largest salary is Derrick White's $30,348,000, and Mitchell Robinson is fourth at $15,044,000. No one else on the roster is above $10.8 million.
What it means for the tax line
At $198.7 million, Boston sits $1,705,594 under the $200,428,000 luxury tax line. It is also hard-capped at the first apron of $209,015,000, so payroll can rise by no more than $10,292,594 this season. Our contracts page has every contract, year by year.
Paul George's $54.1 million figure assumes he waived his 15% trade bonus, which was reported when he was acquired from Philadelphia.
