The short version: Celtics Crew is an independent fan publication. Read it, share it, link to it. Don't copy it wholesale, scrape it, or treat it as betting or financial advice. The full terms follow, and they are binding.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of celticscrew.com and any related pages, features, feeds and social media accounts operated under the Celtics Crew name (together, the "Site"). The Site is operated by Owner ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Independence and trademarks

Celtics Crew is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the Boston Celtics, the National Basketball Association (NBA), any NBA team, or any player. "Boston Celtics," "Celtics," "NBA," team names, logos and player names and likenesses are the property of their respective owners. We use them only to identify the subjects of our reporting and commentary. No endorsement or affiliation is implied.

3. Information only: not advice

Everything on the Site, including statistics, contract and salary-cap information, schedules, scores, projections, rankings, value calculations and analysis, is provided for general informational and entertainment purposes only.

  • No betting, fantasy or gambling advice. Nothing on the Site is a recommendation to place a wager or enter any contest.
  • No financial, legal or tax advice. Contract and cap information describes publicly reported agreements and is not professional advice.
  • Opinions are opinions. Analysis and commentary reflect the views of the author at the time of writing.
  • Accuracy. We work to verify figures against multiple public sources (see our Editorial Standards), but sports data changes quickly and sources can be wrong or delayed. We make no warranty that any information is complete, current or error-free. If you find an error, tell us at contact@celticscrew.com and we will review it promptly.
  • Live data such as scores and box scores may be delayed, interrupted or corrected after publication.

4. Our content and your use of it

The Site's original text, graphics, charts, data compilations, design, code and selection and arrangement of content are owned by Owner or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view the Site and to share individual pages and the social-media cards the Site provides.

You may:

  • Link to any page.
  • Quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back to the source page.
  • Share our graphics and cards on social media with attribution to Celtics Crew.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • Copy, republish, mirror or redistribute substantial portions of the Site.
  • Use automated means (bots, crawlers, scrapers) to collect content or data from the Site, other than standard search-engine indexing that respects our robots rules.
  • Use the Site's content, data or compilations to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models, or to build a competing data product.
  • Remove copyright, attribution or other proprietary notices.
  • Use our name, logo or branding in a way that suggests affiliation or endorsement.

5. Third-party content, embeds and links

The Site may link to or embed content from third parties, including video from official team and league channels and posts from social platforms. That content belongs to its owners, remains subject to their terms and privacy practices, and is not under our control. We are not responsible for third-party content, and a link or embed is not an endorsement. Where we embed video, we use privacy-enhanced settings and load it only when you choose to play it.

6. Submissions

If the Site lets you submit anything (for example, ratings, comments, feedback or story ideas), you are responsible for it and you represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate any law or anyone's rights. You grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, display and distribute your submission in connection with the Site. We may remove any submission at our discretion. Do not submit anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, infringing, or containing personal information of others.

7. Advertising and sponsorships

The Site may display advertising and sponsored content provided by third parties. Ads are labeled, and sponsored content is identified as such (see our Advertising and Sponsorship Disclosure). We do not control the content of third-party ads and are not responsible for your dealings with advertisers.

8. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: violate any law; interfere with or disrupt the Site or its servers; attempt to gain unauthorized access; introduce malware; circumvent technical protections or rate limits; harvest personal information; impersonate any person; or use the Site to harass, defraud or harm others.

9. Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, follow the process in our Copyright (DMCA) Policy.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OWNER AND ANYONE ACTING ON ITS BEHALF WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Owner from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your submissions, or your misuse of the Site.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Owner resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at contact@celticscrew.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in the county where Owner resides, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Any claim must be filed within one (1) year after it arose, to the extent the law allows.

14. Changes, termination and general terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the new version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time for any reason. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies referenced here, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a transfer of the Site or its business.
